Responsible for Derby and surrounding area
Hi, I’m Amanda, I’ve lived and worked in Derbyshire since I was young, and have never moved away for more than a few weeks.
I’m a real home bird, and although I love travelling, I’m also a busy mum of two and very happily re-married Shaun two years ago. Most of my spare time is spent as a taxi service to my kids who are both really active, but I also manage to fit in playing tennis and go to the gym whenever I can.
I love spending time with my family (mainly my husband now as the kids don’t think it’s cool) we enjoy walking our dog and finding new places to eat out.
I’ve had a variety of roles throughout my career, most of which have involved caring for or helping people in one way or another, one of my favourite roles was as an Estate Agent, I loved the variety it offered, I’ve always been passionate about property, stemming from watching my parents self-build our home when I was a teenager, as a result I bought my first property aged just 19.
I spend hours keeping myself up to date with the local property market, trawling the pages of Rightmove which could be described as a bit of a hobby.
I’ve spent the past 5 years working as a Civil Servant, often helping people in vulnerable and challenging situations, I’ve enjoyed meeting and working with people from diverse backgrounds which has given me more understanding and empathy for the challenges faced on a daily basis.
So the opportunity to put my knowledge, energy and passion into helping people move on with their lives is an amazing motivation, it gives me the chance to combine two of my passions, supporting and helping people and property.
